Welcome to the Green Man Show!

It's time to tune in to your environment! Visit with the innovative people who protect our environment, and explore some of the inspiring natural places and new challenges facing our community, our region, and our world.

Okay, there's one small problem.
The GreenMan Show, which was produced for years for County Cable Montgomery, no longer has a home. Sigh. Someone pulled the switch on us -- for now. Fear not, we're working diligently to line up a new venue for our show and hope to get back to bringing you entertaining ideas and insights on your environment.

Until then, we're leaving elements of this website up and running, anticipating a return to the airwaves (or fiber-optic cables, or whatever comes our way.

Champion Trees & Forest Stewards

You may not know it, but there’s a good chance that you’re living in the middle of a forest – an urban forest Join GreenMan host Joe Keyser to learn more about that forest, as well as tree-related education programs, schoolyard reforestation, and champion trees, and meet some of the outstanding stewards of this vital part of our local ecosystem.. Our special guests are members of the Forestry Board, and include Dave Honchalk, from the Smith Environmental Education Center, David Plummer, manager for the Montgomery County Soil Conservation District, and Joe Howard, champion tree sleuth and forestry booster extraordinaire. We’ll also take a trip outdoors to visit the Goshen Elm, Maryland’s Millennium Tree and the inspiration for a “one tree park.”
